Sgt. Maj. Blaine H. Jackson, Marine Aircraft Group 41 sergeant major, has spent the last 28 years leading, training and mentoring Marines throughout the Corps. Since becoming a Marine in 1983, Jackson has seen a lot of changes occur in the Marine Corps, most notably the diversity within the ranks. The Plaquemine, La. native believes that the Marine Corps is becoming a picture of society, which is a great thing for the country.

Orozco’s individual efforts earned him the Sergeant Gabriel Otero, Jr. Trophy for attaining the highest two-day match aggregate score during the 300-yard line rapid fire stage of the competition.

While Kamau holds four administrative billets at the district she still finds time to spend with Olivia to help her grow into an independent person. Kamau was named 8th MCD Marine of the Quarter for the third quarter and Marine of the Year for fiscal year 2011 in which she competed against 24 other Marines.
