Hicken as the recipient of The Commandant’s Trophy during a salute to service basketball game at Utah Valley University (UVU) on February 8, 2023. The Commandants trophy is awarded to high performing Candidates for notable leadership and superior accomplishments while at Marine Corps Officer Candidates School. The UVU President, Dr. Astrid Taminez also received a trophy in recognition of the University’s outstanding preparation of students. Over the last 4 years there have been 12 students and alumni of UVU that have been selected to attend Marine Corps Officer Candidates School to become Marine Officers that will help win our nations futures battles.
