Major Erik V. Glynn

Major Erik V. Glynn commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps in 2012 upon graduation with his Bachelor of Science from the University of Alabama.
 
In October 2013, he attended The Basic School and Infantry Officer Course in Quantico, Virginia.  
 
In September 2014, he then reported to 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines aboard Camp Pendleton, California. He deployed with Battalion Landing Team 3/1 as a Rifle Platoon Commander with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit. Following the deployment, he attended Marine Aviation Weapons and Training Squadron-One's Weapons and Tactics Instructor. He then served as the Executive Officer of Weapons Company and deployed in October 2016 in support of a UDP 17-1 to Okinawa, Japan.  
 
In November 2017, Major Glynn was assigned to Marine Corps Recruiting Command where he was served as the Operations Officer for Officer Programs in the MCRC G-3.  He was then reassigned and served as the ADC to Marine Corps Recruiting Command Commanding General from May 2019 to September 2020.  In October 2020, Major Glynn attended the Maneuver Captains Career Cours in Fort Benning, Georgia and graduated in April 2021.
 
In April 2021, Major Glynn joined 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines in Twentynine Palms, California where he assumed command of India Company.  In March 2022, he deployed as part of the Ground Combat Element to Marine Rotational Force-Darwin in Australia. Upon returning from Australia, he was assigned to the Tactical Training and Exercise Control Group (TTECG) in Twentynine Palms, California and served in the Maneuver Section as a Team OIC from November 2022 to May 2024.
 
In July 2024, Major Glynn assumed command of Recruiting Station Austin.
