Major Jordan Eddington

Major Jordan A. Eddington is from San Antonio, Texas where he attended William Howard Taft High School. Major Eddington was recruited to play football at the United States Naval Academy where he earned three letters and never lost a game to Army or Air Force. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps in 2010. 

After finishing The Basic School and Infantry Officer Course in Quantico, Virginia, Major Eddington reported to 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division.  From 2011 through 2014 he served as a Platoon Commander in both Bravo and Charlie Companies and attended the Army Reconnaissance Course and Cavalier Leaders Course. In 2014, Major Eddington deployed as an Independent Platoon Commander with Battalion Landing Team, 1st Battalion, 6th Marines, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit where they were among the first Marine Corps units to support the fight against ISIS.

In 2015, Major Eddington reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island South Carolina where he was assigned to 2nd Recruit Training Battalion. While with the battalion, he served as Series Commander, Echo Company and Company Commander, Hotel Company. Major Eddington was then selected to serve as the Battalion Executive Officer of Support Battalion. In 2018, Major Eddington attended Maneuver Captains Career Course in Fort Benning, Georgia where he graduated in the top five of his class.

In 2018, Major Eddington was assigned to 1st Battalion, 8th Marines where he assumed command of Charlie Company. In 2019, he deployed with his Company as part of Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response Africa where his company served as the primary crisis response force for the United States Africa Command Area of Responsibility. Following this deployment, Major Eddington was selected to serve as the Operations Officer for 1st Battalion, 8th Marines. During his time as the Operations Officer, his battalion was redesignated as Battalion Landing Team, 1st Battalion, 8th Marines and in 2021, deployed as part of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit where they participated in the largest Non-Combatant Evacuation in US history from Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan.

In June 0f 2022 Major Eddington was assigned as the Commanding Officer of Recruiting Station Houston, Texas.
