Sergeant Major Jessica S. Davila

Sergeant Major Jessica S. Davila was born on 14 August 1986 and is a native of Waco, Texas. She reported to Recruit Training, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC, in August 2004. Upon completing recruit training and Marine Corps Combat Training, Private First Class Davila reported to Personnel Administrative School, Camp Johnson, NC, where she obtained the MOS of 0151. 

In February of 2005, Private First Class Davila reported for her first assignment to Kaneohe Bay Hawaii, Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron HMH-362, the Ugly Angels, where she served as an administrative clerk. Lance Corporal Davila deployed to Okinawa, Japan, supporting the Unit Deployment Program. She was meritoriously promoted to Corporal on 2 March 2006, and in October 2006, she reported to Marine Corps Embassy Security Guard School. After graduation, Corporal Davila started her Marine Security Guard tour at the American Embassy in London, England.  Sergeant Davila continued with follow-on assignments to the American Embassies in Caracas, Venezuela, and Athens, Greece.

In January of 2010, Sergeant Davila reported to Washington, D.C., for duty as the administration specialist for the National Military Command Center, Nuclear and National Command Control and Communications (N2C3) Division J33, Joint Staff, J-3 Operations Directorate, Pentagon. During her time at the Joint Staff, she was selected as the Joint Staff Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year for 2011. Staff Sergeant Davila deployed in August 2012 as an individual augment with the Afghanistan Threat Finance Cell in support of OEF to Kabul, Afghanistan.

Upon return from her deployment in 2013, she executed orders to serve as the Administration Chief to the Commanding General, Marine Corps Installation West-Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, CA. After her tour with the Commanding General's staff, she rotated to the Installation Administration Personnel Center, where she served as the Staff Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of the Pay, Promotions, and Separations Sections.   In 2017, Gunnery Sergeant Davila reported for duty as the Administration Chief for the Management and Administration Office, White House Military Office, Washington, D.C. In May 2019, First Sergeant Davila reported to Combat Logistics Battalion 2, Camp Lejeune, NC, where she served as the Headquarters and Service Company First Sergeant.

In July 2021, she reported to Marine Air Support Squadron-2, Marine Air Control Group 18, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, Okinawa, Japan. She was immediately directed to serve as the Sergeant Major for Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, Marine Corps Air Station Futenma. On 24 February 2022, she returned to serve as the Squadron Sergeant Major, Marine Air Support Squadron-2. Upon completing these assignments, she served as the Company First Sergeant, Air Support Company Bravo, Marine Air Support Squadron-2. Sergeant Major Davila assumed her duties as the Recruiting Station Dallas Sergeant Major duties in April 2023.

Her personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Medal with oak leaf cluster, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal with oak leaf cluster, Navy and Marine Commendation Medal with two gold stars in lieu of third award, Joint Service Achievement Medal with oak leaf cluster, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement, the Joint Chiefs of Staff badge and the Presidential Service Badge.
