Major Christian J. Peterson

Major Christian J. Peterson was born in Lancaster, California and raised in Eugene, OR.  He attended Oregon State University (OSU) and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Philosophy.  He graduated from The Basic School with Company A in May 2016.  He attended the Logistics Officer course at Camp Lejeune, NC graduating in September 2016.  Major Peterson’s first duty assignment was with Truck Company, Headquarters Battalion, 1st Marine Division in Camp Pendleton, California where he served as the Battalion Assistant Logistics Officer, 1st Platoon Commander, Operations Officer and Executive Officer. 

Major Peterson reported to the Command Element of the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit in October 2018 for duty as the Logistics Planner. In May 2019, the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit deployed in support of Western Pacific deployment 19.2.  Major Peterson was a primary forward logistics planner in Southeast Asia and Central Command Area of Responsibility.  The 11th MEU returned 24 November from deployment.

 

In February 2020, Major Peterson received orders to Fourth Recruit Training Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina where he served as a Series Commander for Company O and Company N, Company Executive Officer for Company O, and Company Commander for Company O.  Upon completing service at Fourth Recruit Training Battalion, Major Peterson reported to Third Recruit Training Battalion where he served as the Company Commander for his 13th cycle.  Upon completing his last training cycle, he assumed the role of Recruit Training Regiment Adjutant until his PCS July 2023.  Maj Peterson completed Expeditionary Warfare School Blended Seminar June 2023.

 

In July 2023, Major Peterson reported to Combat Logistics Regiment 3, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, Okinawa, Japan.  Upon reporting to Combat Logistics Regiment 3, he served as the Future Operations Officer from July 2023 to July 2024.  Upon completing his duties as the Future Operations Officer, he assumed the role of Assistant Operations Officer until February 2025, where he then received orders to 3rd Landing Support Battalion where he served as the Battalion Operations Officer.  His service during this time was critical for III Marine Expeditionary Force operations across the Indo-Pacific Command Area of Responsibility enhancing bi-lateral relations with the Japanese Self-Defense Force and Republic of Korea Armed Forces. 

He is married to Alexianna Peterson, a native of New Mexico.  They had their wedding at Hotel Albuquerque in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  His service is made possible by Alexianna and his two sons Giovanni and Zion.

In August 2025, Major Peterson reported to Recruiting Station Albuquerque, where he currently serves as the Commanding Officer. His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal
