The 8th Marine Corps District hosted the Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps (ACMC) Gen. Gary Thomas and  Marine Corps Recruiting Command Commanding General (MCRC CG) Maj Gen. Jason Bohm and their distinguished guests during a planned Fiscal Year ’21 Site Visit on Naval Air Station JRB Fort worth, Tx. The Site Visit provided an opportunity for the ACMC and MCRC CG to visit with command staff as well as to speak with individual sections and Marines at the district headquarters about upcoming plans for the future of the Marine Corps as well as the Recruiting Command.

The spouses of both the ACMC and MCRC CG were able to sit and speak with spouses and family members of Marines assigned to the 8th MCD individually as well as a group during the site visit in order to gain a comprehensive understanding of concerns or struggles that they may be facing and providing resources, ideas, and assistance in any way that they could provide.

Overall the Site Visit was successful and provided a great amount of insight from both a leadership stand point as well as the individual Marine stand point making the shared information valuable to the future of both the Marine Corps Recruiting Command and each individual Marines family success.
