Cpl. Rolando Noriega, a correspondence clerk with Headquarters, 8th Marine Corps District, talked to students at John T. White Elementary School about his life as a U.S. Marine during the school’s first career day May 10, 2012, in Fort Worth, Texas. Noriega also spoke to students from various grades about the importance of a good education and showed a short video on Marine basic training. “It’s important for the Marines to be present at the events,” said Noriega. “This event gives them positive role models and gives them an option to pursue a better life for themselves.”
