Dawn Humphreys, the administrative program coordinator for Headquarters 8th Marine Corps District, softens pencil lines in her drawing with a buffer, a common artist’s tool, in her home in Fort Worth, Texas, April 17, 2012. Humphreys has used her skills and time to give back to the military by submitting poetry for the 8th MCD’s annual Marine Corps birthday ball and creating artwork for Marines and friends at the district. Coworkers at the district said her professionalism and desire to care for others has remained an important asset to the district.
