Col. Ted Studdard, 8th Marine Corps District commanding officer, presented guest of honor retired Lt. Col. George Alden a plaque expressing the district’s gratitude for joining in the celebration of the 236th Marine Corps Birthday Ball, Oct. 29 at the Marriott Solana in Westlake, Texas. Alden shared his experiences as a Marine during World War II and spoke of the undying connection that Marines will always have with Corps.
