Retired Marine Col. Robert C. Lehnert, a former fighter pilot, discusses his experiences during World War II with John Campbell and Kathryn Evezich, two officer candidates from Officer Selection Office Denver, Colo., Dec. 23, 2010, at Lehnert’s home. A film crew from Connecticut is producing a documentary about Lehnert and Marine Fighting Squadron 422, which flew combat missions during World War II and was named the “Lost Squadron” due to an accident that occurred over the Pacific Ocean Jan. 25, 1944.
